 Volunteer At the BC Farm Museum!

Do you have special skills that can be used at the Museum?

The BC Farm Museum is operated by a number of dedicated volunteer members who demonstrate a wide range of skills and abilities on a daily basis.  As a volunteer within this group you are encouraged to explore your talents, experience distinctive activities, and develop additional skills. 

Would you like to be a volunteer member?         Membership is $10.00/ year.

Positions Available:

1.  Museum Hosts:
Work with an experienced museum member in greeting visitors, collecting fees, recording activities, and discussing the various artifacts.

2.  Restoration Specialist (Stationary Engines):
This position requires someone with a mechanical background who is able to diagnose, repair/restore, and operate a wide range of stationary engines.

3.  Restoration Specialist (Tractors):
This position requires someone with a mechanical background who is able to diagnose, repair/restore, and operate a wide range of tractors.

4.  Restoration Specialist (Farm Machinery):
This position requires someone with a mechanical background who is able to diagnose, repair/restore, and operate a wide range of combines, wagons, plows, and specialized farm equipment.

5.  Special Skills:
If you have other unique skills please let us know and we can discuss your involvement at the Museum.

Donate To The BC Farm Museum 

Want to see your name on a special Museum    project?

The BC Farm Museum is funded by donations from its members and other supporters.

Each donor, from $25 to $2500, receives a tax receipt for the amount of the donation.

If your donation is directed at a specific project a plaque will recognize your contribution.

These funds are used for the following:

  •   daily operation including heat and light
  •   participation in community events including the
      May Day Parade and Canada Day
  •   restoration of unique artifacts
  •   restoration of farm equipment to an operating state

Plans include the restoration of the following:

  •   Case steam engine
  •   10-20 McCormick-Deering tractor
  •   IHC pull-type combine
  •   Titan tractor
  •   a number of stationary engines
  •   spinning, knitting, & weaving equipment
